From MIT pranksters and the birth of the internet to the rise of open-source software, the hacker ethic has shaped our world in more ways than we realise. It’s a mindset built on curiosity, creativity, community, and nonconformity – values that can be seen in everything from Linux and Wikipedia to the Right to Repair movement and punk music.
So, should we all think more like hackers? And where would we start?
